I'm car-free again

I sold my truck last week. I have a love/hate relationship with automobiles. I didn't "own" a car until I was in my mid-20's. The first car I owned was a '68 Chevrolet Bel-Air. I bought it from my father's friend for the price of a new battery. It served me well for a few years and then I traded it for a 6-pack of beer. I upgraded to a '69 Chevrolet C-20 Camper Special. I should have never sold that truck but I had a 40 mile roundtrip commute each day and the gas will killing me. So I bought a little Mazda pick-up, which was a great car, but a growing family meant something a little bigger......enter the Mazda MPV. Again, a great car, it was a manual 4x4 mini-van. When we moved to Portland, I sold it thinking that we could be a one-car family. That worked for a few years until I had some money buring a hole in my pocket and found a '72 Chevy C-20. It sat in my driveway most of the time, I drove it a total of 800 miles, which was 100 gallons of gas..jpg)
